Last week we had our first team meeting of the new year… but, we did it with half the team in Houston and everybody else in Abilene by conference call! It’s always great to get together… whether that’s face to face or just hearing each others voices. In spite of the distance we had a really great meeting. Main item on the agenda? Our search for support in the new year. It’s come time for us to step up our efforts a bit in this department… so, over the coming months we’ll be meeting with a number of congregations to discuss our future. I think it’s important to note that by “support” we mean a lot more than just money. Certainly we won’t be going anywhere with out the financial backing. But, more than that, we are looking for a group of believers that share our vision and a leadership that we can know will be there for us no matter what. This is what we long for.
We’ve already taken some steps in the process and are praying a great deal about the possibilities that we have in front of us. But, there is still much up in the air at this point. We are confident in the provision of our God… that He too will “…meet all (our) needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.”
