Team Update

As the time for training draws closer, our team is getting more and more excited about the opportunities that await us in the near future. Lima is on the horizon, and we just can’t wait to be “Peruvians.” But yet we have to wait. In this period of anticipation, our team is experiencing incredible joy, difficulties, and the daily blessing of the Lord. The number of pregnant ladies on our team has jumped from three to two, as Stephanie gave birth to Maddox Samuel Fletcher on March 4, 2007, and you better believe that he is adorable. The Thompsons are getting close to being full-time parents, and Kellan can’t wait to have a baby _______ (brother/sister – you decide). The Yoakums have become increasingly involved in the youth ministry program at First Colony, which has been both a blessing and a time of transition. John Mark, Justin, and Mark continue to read random, obscure theological books while trying to stay “normal” socially.

In the midst of these situations, there are numerous things that we would ask you to pray about. Please pray for Lee as he recovers from his surgery; pray that the surgery and the back stimulator will be effective. Also, pray for Justin, who experienced a heat stroke last week; pray for his continued recovery from that episode. Please continue to pray for our mothers who are expecting little ones in the near future, as well as for Maddox as he continues to eat, sleep, and grow into a man of God. Continue to pray for our little ones, who are such a blessing on our lives. Thank you for your love and support. May God bless you richly as you continue to serve Him!

    Thanks for the update!

Father, protect this team – keep them safe physically (Justin’s heat stroke, couple’s pregnancies, etc), emotionally, and spiritually. And I pray for more workers in the harvest field of Peru.

Team growth through reproduction has also been happening with us. All three families now have 1 child. It has been an amazing process we’ve been through as a team (not to mention as families), I’m sure you would say the same for your team.

-What’s wrong with ramdom, obscure theological books?
