Mark Clancy
The story of my life…I was born in Houston, Texas and lived there until I graduated from high school. After that, I lived in College Station, Texas, where I attended Texas A&M University. There, I received my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from A&M. Currently, I am living in Abilene, Texas while working on my Masters of Divinity at Abilene Christian University.
If you know me, you know that I love people. God has blessed me with diverse opportunities to love and serve people throughout my life. While at A&M, I was involved in the Aggies for Christ (AFC), an on-campus campus ministry. During my time in the AFC, I was involved in numerous trips in which the main focus was on ministry. During my summers in college, I was blessed with the opportunity to work with numerous ministries. Five of those summers were spent at Camp of the Hills, a camp for urban youth. I spent two summers working as a youth intern at my home church, the Memorial Church of Christ. During my time in Abilene, I have been blessed with the opportunity to preach at a small church in Colorado City—the Plainview Church of Christ. Preaching at this church has been an amazing opportunity to learn about the many aspects of church ministry.
The Lord has blessed me with the best family that I could have asked for. My parents, Danny and Susan Clancy, are loving, faithful Christians who have always displayed Christ to me in their words and actions. I have been blessed with an older brother, Steven, who was a great companion during our childhood years. God has also blessed me with amazing friends that shaped and formed me in countless ways.
